It looks like I gave you a bad date for the C-TAX Meeting. It is Wednesday, February 1st at 3 pm at the Grant Sawyer Building.

In an effort to balance the City’s budget, the NLV Finance Department will be presenting an update to the City Council on Wednesday, August 17th at 6 pm in City Council Chambers at North Las Vegas City Hall.

The budget is item #11 on the Agenda. You can fill out a discussion card and speak to the agenda item to ensure it is truly “shared sacrifice.”

As was noted before a State Board on Municipal Government, the issues are structural and the city has a severe cash flow problem. Now is the time to make sure your opinions are heard!

The North Las Vegas City Council will be meeting in a special session on Wednesday, July 20th at 4:30 p.m.

The Nevada Department of Taxation will be presenting the Council with their financial options, including what might happen under receivership.

During their regular meeting at 6 p.m., the first item of business will have the Council be presented with their financial options to stave off Receivership.
