For our May meeting, our main program will be another Town Hall-style candidate forum, this time focused on the State Senate races in our area.
We’ll have candidates from State Senate Districts 1 and 18. Like last month, you’ll get a chance to ask the candidates questions directly.
Other candidate for office will have some time at the end of the meeting to introduce themselves.
Our meeting will be Thursday, May 17th.

Come meet Democratic candidates for Assembly Districts in our area! We will have a “town hall” style forum at our monthly meeting on Thursday, April 19th. The Assembly candidates present will answer questions on issues of interest to North Valley Democrats. We have received confirmations from Assemblywoman Marilyn Kirkpatrick (A.D. 1) and Kelly Charles and Leisa Moseley, who are both candidates in A.D. 13. We will post names of other participants as they are confirmed! This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Democratic candidates in our area. The primary election will be held Tuesday, June 12th.
North Valley Democratic Club meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at the Aliante Library at 2400 W. Deer Springs Way. Doors open at 6:00pm; the meeting will start promptly at 6:15 pm. Refreshments will be served, and guests are welcome!
Assemblyman and North Valley Member Kelvin Atkinson will be holding another campaign walk in his campaign for Senate District 4 on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00 am, launching from 832 High Altitude Ave., North Las Vegas, NV 89032. He’ll have a BBQ afterwards with his famous ribs! If that’s not enough to get you out, I don’t know what will!

As a reminder, the North Valley Democratic Club, as a chartered organization under the Clark County Democratic Party and per our bylaws does not endorse in races where there are more than one Democrat running. Our members are free to support the candidate of their choice, but cannot do so in their official capacity as a member of the organization.

The election of officers is open to all members of the NVDC
Members seeking office must be registered to vote in Clark County
Members must be present to receive a ballot and vote (No absentees or proxies)
Nominations will be accepted from the floor and posted (Persons wishing to nominate themselves or another member for a position should be present at 6:30 PM to ensure that names are posted at the opening of balloting). There will be room on the ballot for write-ins.
Meeting will be called to order at 6:30 and there will be a call for nominations at that time. Voting will commence at 6:45 PM and end promptly at 7:30 PM.
Counting of ballots will begin at 7:30 PM. Any candidate, or their surrogate, may witness the count. Winners will be notified by phone and official results will be posted on the NVDC website.
